I had a deeply frustrating and crappy day, and then I went to get my hair cut and sat next to a five year old boy who just discovered Godzilla yesterday and nobody in this town is in a better mood than me now.

I really just wanted Hi-Lo fries for lunch, at least I got a falafel so it was a little bit healthy.
My new toy arrived today. I had passed on Great Mazinger, but I found him for a really nice price. #jumbomachinder #shogunwarriors
Pre-movie chicken enchilada bowl at Taqueria Tsunami tonight.
ATLANTA! Put all else aside and join the Silver Scream Spook Show at @plazaatlanta.bsky.social on May 16! It’s GHIDRAH THE THREE-HEADED MONSTER making his first assault on planet Earth! See you there!
Damnedest thing I've run into in a while is Stuart Damon doing an uncredited voiceover as a secret agent for the French release of a 1966 Czech spy film called Transit Carlsbad. I can't find any credit for that, but I swear that's him. Check out this scene 7:16 in: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWU9...
Supper tonight at the new Nove Mesto on Barber Street. Pretty good, and not like anything else in town. We’ll be back.
Kid’s camping in the mountains and missed an excellent lunch. Marie and I went to Preacher Green’s for their best-in-town chicken sandwich, also enjoyed catfish, fried green tomatoes, and a very good salmon dip. Definitely worth the drive to the east side.
ATHENS! Ted’s Most Best has brought back the watermelon gazpacho! Come eat now!
Oh, bullshit, these are not psoriasis treatments, these are the last four ladies that Mr. Mxyzptlk dated.
h/t @simonthreadgold.bsky.social for the idea
I started April’s Sight and Sound project today: Out 1, which is a 13-hour film broken down into eight episodes. It is challenging my ability to pay attention, but I’ll try to finish before the end of the month.
Not surprising news, but still incredibly sad. Thanks for all the fantastic memories, Sid Krofft, you all-natural oddball.
Pretty good chicken parm at Fully Loaded for lunch today.
Lunch today at the Hi-Lo.
Well, hardy-har!
You unbelievable assholes, Cine’s showing Rashomon that night!
Supper tonight was, of course, at the huggably eccentric Old School Diner in Harris Neck, Coastal Georgia’s most unique restaurant.
Found Pacino’s gun.
Wonder where these fellows are going.
CHATTANOOGA! This damn eyesore building that I hated irrationally for years may finally be coming down at last.

I've been revisiting 366weirdmovies.com and getting lots of good ideas for things to track down, and also watching several short films. Many don't have listings at TMDB yet, I think because they're so small and obscure they don't meet the site's criteria, but I'm having fun.
Supper tonight at Sal’s on Saint Simons Island, one of my favorites in all of Georgia. Menu art of the late Sal Cenicola by Jack Davis.
He got it from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, where it is used against English people. Move on.
Chili nachos at Gnats Landing on Saint Simons Island. I absolutely love this chili, better than just any other restaurant’s.
Lunch at Kayak Kafe in Savannah. The jerk chicken panini is really good!
Ha ha! No, it was only a shirt on a table and not a chance to actually punt a kid!
No, that was it. I saw a shirt that made me laugh and didn’t buy it.
The Doctor stares despairingly at Kamelion, a shit silver humanoid robot.
Captured the moment when Peter Davison finally dispelled any doubts he’d had about leaving Doctor Who.
