I grew up in Romania, in the darkest years of communism, the 80s. We had only 2 free radio to listen, illegaly: Voice of America, the voice of freedom for us, and Radio Free Europe. Is so sad to hear that the voices that gave me a little bit of hope, as an adolescent, are gone forever. Sad.

Still remember the wonderful time in the 80s when we listened to the VOA on campuses in China, learning about the culture and life in a free country, and sharpening our English skills in the meantime.

And our press in this country are whitewashing or just not reporting the truth …. Sinful
