That rather depends on what the real objective is, if its people making a shit ton of money on a wildly fluctuating oil market that they have a prior idea as to what is happening next then its probably more TITS (Trump Insider Trading Scam)

TBF I wonder how much the framing/hierarchy of news on the BBC website steers this, we've had months of 'Farage coughs' as headline news, but when their housing bod says something reprehensible about Grenfell its hidden away at the bottom of 'also in news' about 2/3rds down the page! ๐Ÿ˜

One of the worst things with AI is the way it's ruined April Fools in the UK, with social media just being full of cobbled together unfunny nonsense...

I hadn't seen the story so at first view thought your post was more of a Youth Hostelling with Chris Eubank sort of vibe.... ๐Ÿคฃ

Who knows, the way they seem to be moving it from platform to platform to platform over a short period of time just seems a little odd.

I think this is just a further element of what piddled so many people off, not only did the price go through the roof when it went from Eurosport to TNT, but it became really expensive WITH adverts!

Good on her for promoting the nationalisation of the energy sector.... or alternatively just illustrating she doesn't have a sodding clue how energy markets work....

Providing the infrastructure for the junction makes perfect sense, then building 2km makes no sense whatsoever.

Politicians and the media have got themselves in a similar pickle on this one size fits all re Iraq in the past....

Glad you won and all that, but this doesn't really do anything to help dispel the feeling many have in this country that politics has basically just become self serving childish tit for tat nonsense between political parties.

In planning it can be worse. Had one recently where there was an ecology issue, LPA planner sent me comments from their consultee and I sent to our eco consultant. They weren't sure what was needed so asked to speak to ecology consultee, LPA had no contact detail for their own consultee bar email...

Its been ever thus, some of us are old enough to remember the days of setting up Eurosport to record the cycling and when you came to watch it back it would invariably be snooker or Nordic skiing they had chosen to show at that time!

P.S I'm not blaming LPA planners, the whole system has changed (I'm really not sure when and how TBH) and become so much more confrontational and seems to have a default of how can we prevent this development.

Thing is planning used to be like that, I worked in local authority planning 25 (good grief!) years ago and at that stage we would meet with developers/architects FOC to discuss emerging proposals and offer advice to help, no chance of that now, if you can do pre-app its paid and limit.

@originstorypodcast.bsky.social have a very good pod about what Blue Labour is all about out now, very revealing about the ideology which seems to be driving Labour policy at the moment (its nuts!) bsky.app/profile/orig...

Suella Braverman: Another big beast defection shows momentum is with Reform Former Home Secretary Suella Braverman is the fourth sitting Tory MP to join the party since the last election.

So the BBC's Political Editor has known Suella Braverman for 25 years, so knew her for over 10 years before she became an MP... explains rather a lot about his reporting.... www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
