[This note written as I try to cajole my video editing software into exporting the video that took me 3 times as long as planned, before I plunge into editing the next one right away!]

I moved to the Midlands to keep it real.

Probably the best skill I've developed in 16 years of indie rock album making is being completely unrealistic about how long things take.

Every time I power through and finish the thing I'm excited about, immediately forget it took 3-5 times longer than planned and immediately start the next thing.

For the past 18 years I've either been making an album or recovering from making the last album i.e. writing the next album. As of today I'm officially back in making an album mode, with a full tracklist written out and ready to go.

It's an exciting feeling.
