My first op-ed in the Economist is out today! Why AI is the new Oracle of Delphi, and why that's a bad idea. For more, find #PROPHECY in stores today! And if you're in NYC, join me and Tim Wu at 92Y at 7:30pm!

What's with using Tolkien work to name evil tech companies? Palantir? Fucking Sauron?
I hate Al and I refuse to use it Peter, if you don't use Al a bunch of super rich men will lose a lot of money I already said I hated Al Harry, you don't need to sell it to me
Artificial intelligence looks good if you haven't got any intelligence.
If you use GitHub (especially if you pay for it!!) consider doing this *immediately*
Settings -> Privacy -> Disallow GitHub to train their models on your code.
GitHub opted *everyone* into training. No matter if you pay for the service (like I do). WTH

We all died in 2016 and now this is hell watching
AI is going to kill the most exciting gaming box in a decade
The fact that the LLMs finally have basic ability to do some tasks is not impressive, it's the bare minimum...
And yet we should be nice to the AI pilled accelerationists? We can stay civil of course but we can't just be nice to the people actively dragging art, skill and democracy to the ground
The tech is unreliable and gimmicky, under priced, catastrophic for the environment, catastrophic for the education, used mostly for scams, built on foundations of theft, fraud and abuse, controlled by dangerous tech bros, polluting the internet, etc.
NEW: Wikipedia editors have implemented new policies and restricted a number of contributors who were paid to use AI to translate existing Wikipedia articles into other languages after they discovered these AI translations added AI “hallucinations,” or errors, to the resulting article.
You can represent the absolute zero in Celsius though. It's just not the target scale that's all , the scale is the water elemental state transition at sea level.
When Celsius was made the world was aware that lower temperatures existed, there is no reason why zero should be the lowest temperature
So absolute zero was not really a thing back then but the scale is simply based on water freezing at 0 and boiling at 100 how nothing more coherent that that ?
It's like saying meters don't make sense because it is not based on the electron circumference

filament renderer, C++ engine, ECS (flecs maybe? As it is in C++) and dart scripting language.
Honestly this looks very interesting
Basically the state of the industry if you add "wasting time of my colleagues who have to review my slop PRs" and "I found a bug here's what claude thinks" and of course "The technical documentation might be wrong but at least I did not waste time writing it myself"
The disclaimer indicates Bevy will receive 3$ out of the total 34$ (not including shipping)
Wow that is surprisingly low !
Bevy 0.18 is out now!
It features Atmosphere Occlusion and PBR Shading, Generalized Atmospheric Scattering Media, Solari features, PBR Fixes, Font Variations, Automatic Directional Navigation, Fullscreen Materials, Cargo Feature Collections, Camera Controllers, and more!

"I wish all companies insisting on AI a very bankruptcy"
I can see the prompts now. "Please stop this DDoS attack and recover our customer's stolen data"

A two-part X (Twitter) post by Hunter Leath, showing the "life comes fast at you" concept through his use of AI coding assistants like Devin or Claude. The top, more recent post says: "an interesting update: the team is starting to move away from AI coding completely (devin/claude/etc) because it's so much harder to review the AI code than writing things themselves". The bottom, older quoted post says: "just found out that since this, i've become a top 50 user of Devin globally, now pushing ~60 PRs a day. AMA."
From top AI coding user globally to completely stop using it because it's so much harder to review AI code than write it myself. And they say all software developers jobs will be replaced by LLM. Life comes fast at you. 🤣
Literally all of society hates this abominable scam homunculus and the weird little death cult bubble of vampiric losers who spewed it forth upon the world. Take a break from bragging about how gullible you are and give yourself a swirlie and stuff yourself in a locker and sort yourself out.
when its definitely not a hostage situation
