I should stay off of Twitter. Right now it is entirely people saying ā€œhey, please don’t offer unsolicited criticism of fanfic we post for freeā€ and others saying (I shit you not) ā€œI paid my internet bill and spent my time to read this, I am obligated to waste more of my time belittling you. Cope.ā€

I chose Ekko as the Temperance card because he embodies harmony, patience, balance, and a quiet sense of comfort, with a touch of delicacy… but also that spark of impulsiveness. ā³

Which Arcane character would you like to see next?

I chose Vander for the Justice card because it stands for fairness and consequence, mastery, balance, integrity, truth, order, judgment, uncertainty, and rigidity. Hope you like it! šŸ» I’m currently working on Heimerdinger, want to see him in color?

Look at this smarmy bastard that I just got in the mail. (I love him.)

Thank you! I’m sorry. I know it’s stupid, but the insecurities just come and kick you while you’re down sometimes.

I’ll probably give it 24 hours after AO3 is up then delete the PDFs, because I remain an insecure writer seeking comments/kudos as validation.

(I’ve once again convinced myself I suck. Happens when I over-invest and then step back too far. Wish knowing the cycle meant I could break it, but nope.)

I can tell when AO3 goes down because the TikToks where I posted entire chapters to my account for AO3 outages start picking up again.

So yeah I have everything in PDF and ebook if anyone in Soukoku, Jayvik, Zaundadsb fandoms start going through fic withdrawal.

Been doing my damndest to stop our government from committing atrocities on children here.

So obviously we’ve got to start our newest war by bombing a girls’ school overseas.

I’d noticed the other day that I’ve been ending my posts with ā€œI’m tired.ā€

And I am.

But I’m also so fucking furious.

So I splurged and my commissions/artist support this last check went to a painted Silco model I’m still waiting on and the artist gave a coupon for my next order with them and I mean cult leader Viktor is just right THERE but I should probably wait for the first figure to come.

Since I’m poetry girl, a poem for today’s figure skating long programs, and a reminder of how much pain and effort goes into every performance:

(I filter a LOT. I’m not a DDDNE person. But I’m like do not cite the deep magic at me. I was there when it was written.)

This thread brought to you by people on TikTok that are trying to lecture me on what tags mean, while also pushing puritanical views of what can/should be allowed in fiction.

2 months ago 1 0 1 0

Now, should other content warnings be included with DDDNE? Absolutely. That's just fandom etiquette.

But there is a significant difference between What It Says on the Tin and DDDNE.

And that difference is that DDDNE IS a warning tag.

And people can (and many do) filter that out.

2 months ago 1 0 1 0

Trying to explain to new fans that the tag they're looking for is Exactly What it Says on the Tin.

THAT tag means "everything in here is tagged and what you see is what you get."

Dead Dove: Do Not Eat is a related tag, but SPECIFICALLY MEANS the contents are unpleasant.

Like said dead bird.

Not everyone is doing that. And I’m not saying they shouldn’t be gone through. The people who participated in those abuses or covered them up should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law for their roles.

But it’s triggering af and I mean that in the PTSD way. Hence, more time offline.

I’m not JUST absent here because of organizing.

It’d be disingenuous of me to pretend it was (though hey, don’t broadcast what you’re doing if it will endanger vulnerable populations).

I’m also offline because I’m struggling with the Epstein files being treated like titillating salacious gossip.

Anyway, I miss anything cool recently?

Did Jayvik go canon again in the Spanish subtitles?

Younger versions of Vander and Silco from Arcane sitting on the Docks overlooking the Pilt. They're mid banter and Vander is giving his friend a gentle bump on the arm. Behind them, the silhouette of the bridge looms, foreboding of things to come in the near future.

And today I was punched once again by ā€œYouthā€ and how I could line lyrics up with Arcane characters in my head. And yes predominantly ZaunDads and Jayvik because I am who I am and have I mentioned the parallels recently, because I can.

First, thank you! I love the characters I play with.

For RP, I’d have to figure out HOW! My past rp experience was basically long-form with action etc, not on social media with character counts and in the format of in-character posting.

I may come back to that idea sometime! I’ll keep it in mind.

I’m so sorry I’ve taken forever to respond. TBH this year a LOT of my energy is probably going to be eaten by offline things (I’m not exactly being specific but I bet you can gather by my tweets).

I feel guilty writing rn. I know it’s What I Do, but I’ve got a lot of other needed experience too.

First, thank you so much I adore you!

And RED/BLUE PAIRING REP RIGHT THERE.

(In this essay, I will outline how revolutions work and why they’re harder than a protest or a few speeches.

Then I’ll lightly glaze it in fiction and put it out as an overlong fic for a story that was written by centrists who wanted to go ā€œbut violent revolution = bad. We can all get along!ā€)

Silco was doing the unsexy but necessary role of divesting Piltover of its assets in Zaun.

And personally I like to think if Silco and Vander hadn’t let their shared leadership collapse and leave a power vacuum, with Silco more personally obsessed than focused, they might have gotten somewhere.

2 months ago 6 0 1 0

Friendly fire takes over. Vander and Silco turn on each other, and that consumes the revolution.

What was supposed to be a temporary structure becomes corrupted. The Barons keep the revolution’s rejection of Piltover’s rule, the power of a parallel government, then fester by not serving the people.

2 months ago 3 0 1 0

The problem is revolutions fail because they fall apart from WITHIN.

The one that’s most obvious is Vander and Silco’s fallout. One leader tries to ease on the breaks for ā€˜stability,’ and end up looking for reforms that ease a short term pain without addressing the long term source.

That’s Vander.

2 months ago 8 0 1 0

The Chem Barons were a parallel institution intended to subvert Piltover’s legal and economic control over Zaun as a part of Silco’s rebellion. That’s a necessary part of revolution.

And that actually worked. Piltover’s grasp slipped.

They just were never designed to be a long-term solution.
