We all need to lodge an official complaint. It takes no time at all, and I've dropped a link to BBC Complaints in the comments. This is shocking.

We take our most common, resident birds for granted, but look at the colours in this newly minted chaffinch! He's so beautiful, showing off there in the blackthorn. #birds

It’s gorgeous up at my writing spot on the allotment today after the storm has passed over. A riot of colours, with huge queen bees zeppelining around. #cornwall

I never love being stuck in London, but there are some compensations. In my bit of Cornwall, the blackthorn is only now coming into bloom, whereas on Putney Common - BOOM!

So proud to see Voyager shortlisted for Imprint of the Year. I’m still working for the list I launched in 1995, at arm’s length these days, and it’s wonderful to see it go from strength to strength under the brilliant leadership of Natasha Bardon, who is also nominated as Editor of the Year. #books

World Book Day coincides with St Piran's Day! Love and war, gothic and humour, batty old ladies and grumpy old men, desert heroes and harems and gorgeous food. The odd bestseller, many languages. Books are magic: your images fly into other people's heads, where they transform and bloom. πŸ’™πŸ“š #books

So, in launching a huge bombing campaign on Iran they apparently didn't plan for:

- Who takes over;
- Interceptor shortages from sustained drone retaliation;
- How to defend US bases in the region;
- Threats to ships in the Strait of Hormuz; and
- How to evacuate Americans with airspace closed.

Made a dash into Truro to sign a huge pile of the pb of SECRETS OF THE BEES. It felt apt on such an historic day for the Green Party, the novel being a heartfelt cry to protect our natural environment, the true and ancient Cornwall, from less scrupulous forces. Great to know it’s selling so well! πŸ’™πŸ“š

About the play | Royal Shakespeare Company Game of Thrones: The Mad King, a new play based on the A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin, adapted by Duncan Macmillan and directed by Dominic Cooke.

The RSC are launching 'The Mad King', a prequel to A GAME OF THRONES at Stratford this summer.

"George's storytelling is Shakespearean in its scale and its themes, so the RSC feels like a natural home."

A West End run will follow.

Whoop!

I stomped up to the allotment in the rain and picked some of the few flowers that had dared to bloom. And then crowned Our Lady of the Hellebores.

The next stage is Insurrection Act, canceling elections and Martial Law.

That's the Trump plan.

If u think I'm crazy well you have refused to pay attention to the evidence of your eyes & ears for the past decade.

We have to use all our powers to stop them. Go on offense. Legally & peacefully.
