I didn't want to run my 5E game this afternoon for lack of spoons, but I'm glad I pushed through. The party went from gathering info at a party to investigating 2 high-security heists in about 2.5 hours. I wrote up my notes, and I'm still on a post-performance high.

I think it's because I'm a database administrator. I just think the superpower of digital tools is their ability to store, relate, and present data. Build the data into the sheets. We can roll the dice and choose the highest or whatever our own damn selves. 😅
I was using Mongoose, so failing a Survival roll results in injury or embarrassment now. The big downside is the loss of skills and muster out benefits.
Rolled 2 Traveller characters tonight as that's all the spoons I had. The first was a Rogue for 2 terms, then failed survival 3 terms in a row, with 2 Enemies and a Rival. The second was a doctor, then failed survival 2 terms.
The dice were unkind tonight, but interesting characters.

However uncomfortable, rough, personal and not 'table-ready' at the slightest, TTRPGs are too vast to simply straightjacket them into _utterly functional_ as it seems to be a preference these days.
Even if it isn't immediately useful, it must exist for its own sake.

Boy howdy, I have thoughts on a lot of this. The main takeaway is that this was a mismanaged project by all sides, and there's a lot of workflow issues that are rather interesting to dig into.
