Because old ICE vehicles need more service and hold almost no value I’m already thinking about moving to a 2nd EV for our family. Bought our first in November.

12.7 million battery electric vehicles were sold globally in 2025.

In 2010, the number was barely 10,000.

In China, 1 in 2 new cars sold last year was electric.

The transition is happening faster than almost anyone predicted.

To this point as a long time NDP voter I’ve been luke warm on Lewis. But Carney is quickly, solidly helping me make my decision on where my support lies federally next election. Hard Left wingers opposing government are orders of magnitude more palatable than a Government with Gladu.

So the Conservative Party, in this analogy, is a rat infested city that can’t be trusted to pay its debts?

Carney is going to end up having my parents vote liberal for the first time in their lives if he keeps this up. I love my parents but that not a flex you want ultimately.

Drawing the Line Against Gerrymandering Why the Alberta Government Should Reject the "Minority Report"

My latest on the state of Alberta democracy, where the UCP government seems intent on choosing their voters rather than the other way around.

Are all those NDP delegate videos I’m seeing on Tik Tok real? Were the equity cards real too? I empathize with why people feel the way they do, but it seems like a great way to alienate vast swaths of reasonable people and a really inefficient way to get anything productive done.

Well now. That’s quite the little trinket Dani came home from Saudi Arabia carrying. One wonders if she declared it at customs.

I’m going to be a pedant here and say if it’s 10”-12” it’s going to weight more than 12-25 ounces. Maybe it’s gold plated and not 80lbs of pure gold… but maybe it is. I really hope we (waves hands wildly signifying all who want her downfall) find out.

Estimating the volume of a sitting cat statue
A cat sitting on its haunches is roughly an oval/egg-like form. For a 10-12" tall statue, let's say 11" (28 cm) as our midpoint. A sitting cat is typically about:
• Height: 28 cm
• Width (shoulder to shoulder): ~12 cm
• Depth (chest to back): ~14 cm
A sitting cat isn't a solid block, so we model it as a rough ellipsoid and subtract for the slender neck/head and legs. A reasonable estimate for the total volume of the body mass is around 1,800-2,400 cm3 — let's use 2,000 cm? as a round working figure.
Gold density
Pure 24k gold has a density of 19.3 g/cт3 - extremely dense. For comparison, that's about 2.5x denser than steel.
The calculation
2,000 cm° × 19.3 g/cm: = 38,600 grams
That's approximately:

Unit
(Weight
----

Kilograms |~38.6 kg |
|Pounds **~85 Ibs**|
|Troy ounces ~1,240 oz t/
So the range, accounting for size variation (10"-12"):
• 10" statue → roughly 65-70 Ibs
• 11" statue → roughly 80-85 Ibs
12" statue → roughly 95-105 Ibs
A few caveats:
• A hollow cast gold statue would weigh dramatically less — perhaps 10-20% of these figures
The exact pose matters a lot (a compact, tucked pose vs. an upright alert sit)
• Real decorative statues are almost never solid gold all the way through due to the sheer cost and weight
At today's gold prices (-$3,000/troy oz), a solid 11" statue would be worth roughly $3.7 million in raw material alone!

Apologies for using AI…

What do you think the weight of a solid gold cat statue would be if it was 10”-12” In height. The cat would be sitting on its haunches.

Its honestly still shocking. Shocking that she’ll accept something like this, and shocking that she’d either not think news of it would come out or not care enough that it would.

Bond level villainess.

In term one DHS gave Miller a report showing that the taxes paid by refugees exceed the costs of resettling them by $63 billion. He suppressed it and ordered another one: “The President believes refugees cost more, and the results of this study shouldn’t embarrass the President."
