So for me the analysis is wider than CPFC. It’s about the structure of the game. It seems the problems are systemic rather than solely CPFC based.

Sellesy even points to history repeating itself with CPFC over the last 40 years.

So if his decisions that seem illogical to us, must be based in some degree of what’s best for the club. Other clubs that have flown to close to the sun and died trying - Leicester/Wigan/Leeds

No one has achieved it without significant backing…even Newcastle are struggling to crack it.

On the other side of the coin. SP has done amazing for us. The club has definitely and significantly moved forward on and off the pitch in his tenure.

In addition, OG had similar complaints about his last 2 clubs. Both of a similar ilk to CPFC.

So although CPFC is frustrating, my point is. To get recruitment so right that it makes an actual difference must be crazy hard/impossible/based on luck.

But the comparisons with clubs our size that seemingly do it better than us - Brighton, Bournemouth etc. - doesn’t actually translate to better on field outcomes. They finish in and around us in the league and they haven’t won an FA Cup or CS. (Probably luck involved there).
