I’m stumped, what’s so funny? 😀

Agreed. And for everything else there’s cofffee!
Let me guess, it’s now a bloody toll road? 😂
Such luxury has never passed beneath the tyres of my bicycles!
I like that they are walking on the correct side of the road to face on-coming traffic! 🙂 Safety first, quack-quack!
“Give way” 😂
The sky was just lovely!
L: Descent through rapeseed fields towards #Cuddesdon from #Garsongton, R: Wittenham lock.

Today’s bridleway bash along some fine #Oxfordshire tracks and trails.
Some of these will be almost impassable once the veg grows. The steep bridleway climb out of #Garsington was flanked by knee-high stinging nettles and became a narrow gully, so hike-a-bike time! 😥 😀

Needs a SORN? 😂
Those five wind turbines - looks like you’ve been out towards Swindon?
And some fearsome climbs by the look of it!
A bridleway running between fields of rapeseed. Near Garsington, South Oxfordshire, 🇬🇧
Another lovely trundle around Oxfordshire’s bridleways today and this viee sums up the experience. As my daughter would say - joyous!

That does look a cool bike. Good luck keeping all that white…white! 😀
As with some other machines in life (laptops, cars), sometimes it takes a while to “bond” with it! 😀
👍
It looks like the sort of machine that could be ridden between, say, Land’s End and John O’Groats! 😀
How’s that gorgeous new bike of yours doing? You seemed to be in “jury’s out” mode before - has today’s trek brought you down off the fence?
A pleasant loop up to #Abingdon from #SuttonCourtenay.
Found another little piece of local history that has escaped me - the old #Culham bridge over the #Thames near #Abingdon. Didn’t know it existed as it’s hidden away from the A road, and site of a “skirmish”. Wiki calls it a battle!

What life without some mindless pedantry? 😂
If I do LEGOG/JOGLE it will likely be a straightforward A to B "direct" trip, minimising distance and days needed. That might be the only way I could do it/afford it, but i'd be missing out so many opportunities along the way.
Thanks for sharing that link. The maps are interesting and Didcot will be a much better place to get around if everything gets done.
I wonder if Cow Lane really will be closed to motor traffic as one of the drawings shows? I imagine that will be quite devisive!
JELOG! Surely you mean JOGLE? 😂
That’s on my bucket list for sure. Doing north-south: good point about finishing somewhere closer to home. I’d rather worry about getting home to Didcot from Penzance than Wick!
It’s a topic that shouldn’t be in my timeline! 😂
Maybe mix up your routes a little - have you tried @wandrer.earth ?
I tried running for a while but my knees said “no”!
Not sure. A quick search reveals lots of discussion/consultation about the wider plan, but no map of committed works.
I can see that path would provide a quieter route between Didcot and Wallingford. 👍
One to keep an eye on.
Good grief! No amount of sealant was going to block that hole!
Sorry to hear you’ve had such news today.
Paddington! Did you pack a jam sandwich? 😀 🥪
Just think about it - people will get to Didcot quicker!
A new cycle track? I did a local off-road circuit today. Went along the bridleway east of #HaddenHill golf course and found a bunch of guys and machines creating what looks like a new wide path on the alignment below. Looks like it could link #Didcot to NCN5, by-passing #LongWittenham.

My commute involved walking into the front room and switching on the laptop. 😀 Back to the real commute tomorrow. 🚅 not 🚲 but happy that I don’t have to 🚘
And not to try new fangled pedals - I’m looking at you Alpecin - Premier Tech! 😂
Crossing the A420 - meh! But that underpass is really handy.
Yes - a bit sketchy when it’s wet!
Definitely! I was wishing for an MTB with nice fat squidgy tyres along there.
