Everytime I see someone lauding it as an excellent horror movie, I'm honestly thinking "What the HELL horror movies have you seen that THIS poorly-paced, third-act-ass-pull slog is the cream of your crop?"

I'm trying! Not with The Pitt, but with a cozy fantasy book I found dissatisfying. I'm trying to make my own, and I'm already 12,000 words in.

It's actually kind of a nice way to channel my dissatisfactions and push myself: "I said I wanted ___ in stories, so let's see what putting ___ in entails."

I’ve been keeping odd hours lately. (My ADD keeps waking up before the rest of me.) Hence the late night drawing and early morning reposting.

I’m really proud of this late-night doodle I did of @leaftilde.bsky.social’s character idea: a hard-bitten space battleship onboard AI repurposed into a ship’s nurse.

(Don’t worry, she’s synthetic and the cigarettes are holographic. She just likes having an excuse to get away from people.)

I weirdly like this halfhazard design I splashed together for her (and I am nourished by positive attention) so I did another.

But even in the scenario you've described, you're not vilifying their sexual choices, but the people themselves for being assholes. So you're still coming out ahead of them.
