No, it would be policed the same way other laws are: me, a pakeha cis-woman who occasionally uses the men's bathrooms for convenience would suffer no consequences. Bigotry of all kinds would mean that it would be weaponised against all other women.

As a cis-woman, I've used men's toilets when the queue for the 'women's' has been too long. Also, on a couple of occasions, I accidentally used the wrong ones.
Also, lots of little boys use the women's bathroom with a parent.
Today is the last day for submissions on the Fast track approvals bill. Please make a submission. Here's some suggestions. A Google search will provide others.

The public service staff data also has dollars spent on contractors and consultants. I haven't looked closely at that dataset but I think costs dropped by about $300 million between 2017 to 2023.
Can we please have better reporting of "a 32% increase in public service staff since 2017". 2300 of that increase is MSD after a massive drop 2016-2017 (3400). Let's also talk about the often very good reasons for increases in staff numbers.

I recently made a comic complaining that NASA refuses to listen to my good ideas for improving the Solar System (xkcd.com/2750).
To my delight, NASA’s Science Mission Directorate has sent me an actual expert panel evaluation of my “flatten the planets” proposal! Sadly, they decided not to fund it.
Criticise what she says, not how she says it.
Nicola Gaston was made a fellow of the Royal Society of Aotearoa this week. In case you didn't know, that's a fking big deal. Congratulations @nicgaston.bsky.social
Good to see some facts emerge. The initial reporting denigrated the students and imo was just more proof the Seymour and ACT believe free speech is for them at not the people/communities that are being devastated by the policies they’re enacting. #nzpol www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...
Messing with datasets is a legitimate hobby. #WasntMe

*This* is why I absolutely abhor the Auckland VC's view of academic freedom and conscience and critic in the Siouxie Wilde case.
A lot of that unpaid work is women caring for their families. Let's start with paying them. You might be interested in Marilyn Waring's Counting for Nothing.

My best "hidden gem" tip is the art gallery in Titirangi for the views from the back stairs. Te Henga is my favourite walk. Part of it is closed but I think you can still walk up from the Bethells Beach end to the point. Horse riding at Muriwai is a nice outing (Piha may have it too?)
I mean, you don't want to be hanging in the suburbs but there are a lot of fabulous places in Auckland. Waiheke, Tiritiri Maitangi, Rangitoto, Waitakere Ranges, west coast beaches, the regional parks for a start.
Aroha Harris.
UofA placements are much of the North Island so much of that is out. Placements is one of the major barriers to growing numbers in existing med schools so idk why they think another med school is gonna solve it.
So the um correct pronunciation then.
Through the support services that already help them stay safe. Eg Women's Refuges.
A public post is not the way to warn DV victims. It's how to provide their abusers with techniques to continue their abuse.
