March, 19-21: God is a comedian A stiff drink is recommended

This is an excellent summary of the US War on Iran current situation.

I’m an existentialist and borderline absurdist and even I struggle with the current moment.

This summary is just fantastic.

I need men to understand: at some point in every conservative gal's life, she will have the experience of sitting and listening to the men around her --men who are her friends -- discuss, in a detached way, whether or not her kind of people (women) should have the right to vote.

I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

Trump to Kaitlan Collins after she pressed him on getting justice for Epstein survivors:

"No wonder CNN has no ratings because of people like you. You know, she‘s a young woman. I don‘t think I‘ve ever seen you smile. I‘ve known you for 10 years. I don‘t think I‘ve ever seen a smile in your face."

Okay everybody! Please help me with this! Universities everywhere are increasingly awful, so let's put together some New Year's Resolutions to help them get better! I'll start!

1) Stand up for the importance of good education for good lives for people, society, and planet.

So you should really watch this. Just 2 minutes. But a window into the truly radical nature of the people Trump is nominating.

When pressed today, the nominee to be Ambassador to South Africa refuses to oppose reinstituting laws to prevent black people from voting in America.

One of the pieces from the museum. It is called The Newcomers. It is by Jan van de Pavert. It is a painting with many diverse people in it. It is the first thing you see when you walk into the main exhibition hall. It really moved me. The Newcomers are welcome, embraced by the city.

A 'livingroom' style setup can be seen with people sitting on chairs and art surrounding them. The art in the room belongs to a brother sister duo. I loved it so much. All of it was so accessible.

I went to the museum to see the installation 'Disappear' about grief. There is an emptiness about the room, but it was filled with music and then my emotions and tears. It was simple and oh so moving.

I visited the Centraal Museum Utrecht today. I've been to the Museum before but had never seen the permanent exhibition. The permanent exhibition is large. I'm glad I got the opportunity to see it. I was there to see the 'Disappear' installation on grief, which was simple yet so moving.

I don't think I have ever seen the escalator going to Utrecht Centraal from the Smakelaarskade side of the station work. So imagine my surprise today when I walked around the corner and it was clean and in working order 😂

Yesterday's 'museum' visit was Landhuis Oud Amelisweerd in Bunnik (a few kilometres from the Utrecht city centre). The house from the 1700s is well preserved and the guides generous with their time and knowledge. We ate great food, bought fresh farm goodies and enjoyed the surrounds.

I also made a stop at the Kruideniers Museum. The museum shows the history of groceries from the old grocer to today's supermarkets. It is cute, free and really well done. I wanted to buy some of the treats they have in the shop but didn't for some reason, so I'll have to go back 😁.

After my visit to the Volksbuurt museum I was curious to learn more about the history of Utrecht. So I visited the Utrecht Archive today. They had an exhibition on how Utrecht has been governed over 650 years. Also, the permanent collection really captures the city and is very interactive.

Today's museum visit was the Rietveld Schröderhuis in Utrecht. An impressive piece of minimalist architecture, designed in 1924. The house was ahead of it's time and stands out from the dark brick homes around it.
Well worth a visit.

A flowchart entitled “should you explain the thing to the lady”. The first text box reads “are you an expert or at least well informed”. If the answer is no the corresponding text box says “shh”. If answer is yes the flow chart proceeds to the next text box which reads “did she ask? “. If the answer is yes the corresponding text box says “go ahead”. It’s the answer is no the flow chart proceeds to the next text box reads “are you her tutor, teacher or other for her education?“. If the answer is no, the corresponding text box says “stop talking”. If the answer is yes, the flow chart proceeds to the next text box, “Does she already know what you’re about to say“. If the answer is no the corresponding text box says “explain away” if the answer is “I don’t know” the corresponding text box says “ask” if the answer is yes to “does she already know what you’re about to say” the corresponding text box reads “be quiet“
