As a VFX artist I have to keep my Adobe subscriptions up--but their recent announcement to kill Animate (I suspect because it's the hardest of their programs to shoehorn genAI into) showed how little they care about the artists that have made them what they are. Looking forward to this.

I'm definitely rendering image sequences (EXRs), then adding some DoF, color correction and film grain in post. You should look into command-line rendering in Blender--it's usually a lot faster because the computer doesn't have to think about displaying everything (like the UI) while rendering.
Maybe 6 hours total.
Less than 2 mins per frame on a stout, but not crazy-powerful PC. The sim itself was also less than 1-1/2 mins per frame with an ending total of 8.2 million points (maybe overkill). It's a bit noisy because I knew it was for social media and would have film grain applied, but still a fast render.
