Trump with Melania (left of picture) …

Have to agree. Leeds should have had a penalty.

And a red card.

The giveaway that he didn’t write it is the correct use of the apostrophe.

There’s no way Trump knows how to use an apostrophe properly.

I’d throughly recommend Paul Hanley’s book Leave The Capital, much of it about the 10CC members as songwriters and Strawberry studios.

John Martyn – Solid Air (1973) We reach the 700th album review here, with the second of last week's haul from Stamford. I very nearly didn't buy this, so sure was I that I already had it, but on checking I didn't.Coincidentally, Ma...

Album no 700 is John Martyn’s 1973 classic Solid Air. If my friend at @albums200.bsky.social would like to hear another fellow Glaswegian (almost), I’d recommend it.

Sad to leave GP, but I now have knee room, don’t miss play if bloke 4 rows in front stands up, only have to queue for loo at halftime (and there are sinks with hot water), can get a pint in ground before without huge wait and drink it without being crushed. Sadly, GP was no longer fit for Prem.

Haven’t seen the WSC article, but seen others on the Winslow closure. Very sad, thought it was the one that might survive but it seems that keeping the women’s team and the community hub in Walton doesn’t generate the business.

The Men They Couldn’t Hang - Waiting For Bonaparte. Spoiled by the well intentioned but unlistenable ‘Father’s Wrong’

You aren’t liked, Peter, but there is a recognition that LUFC are a proper football club belonging at the highest level - unlike some who can’t even sell out their away allocations. No empty seats at Everton when Leeds visit.

The Housemartins – The People Who Grinned Themselves To Death (1987) Revisiting the Housemartins' second album, bought before Christmas on an EBay raid, didn't fill me with as much expectation as the debut had. Perhaps what was new then was subsequently repeated, and n...

Great review, as always. Here’s my take on it (I always spot too many typos in these!). steveburnhamuk.wixsite.com/my-ridiculou...

But did this unelected group get access to sensitive financial information which could be useful to those tendering for council contracts?

Julian Cope – The Skellington Chronicles (1993) I remember picking this up in a boot fair for a quid or so, about twenty years ago, thinking I'd found the Julian Cope Holy Grail. I'd heard of the legendary Skellington but had never heard the album....

Fantastic review, fantastic album that I don’t actually own!

But I did this recently steveburnhamuk.wixsite.com/my-ridiculou...

Porcupine Tree – Nil Recurring (2007) Ah, the "is it an EP or an album" dilemma strikes again. 4 tracks weighing in at 29 minutes could go either way, but the band refer to it as an EP. In any case, I'm only claiming to be reviewing CDs, ...

After an unnoticed week long break (security issues closing me down in error), my barely missed blog returns with some more Porcupine Tree. steveburnhamuk.wixsite.com/my-ridiculou...

There’s a half decent single LP I there. There isn’t 80 minutes of enjoyment.

As an Everton fan, I really think he could have flourished playing in front of Grealish, Dewsbury-Hall and Ndiaye. Hope he succeeds at Leeds
