You can’t do a bunch of stupid comedy bits and then play people off when they’re having the biggest moment of their life. It’s bullshit.

Quite a few things have felt off to me about this war on Iran and one of them is that this would have been a weeklong story a few years ago and it won't rate at all now. There would have been chatter, columns, etc... about callousness and disregard etc... But now and with this guy, nothing.

Trump’s war just blew up his own talking points about cheap gas and the 50,000-point Dow.

📌 Oil is surging.
📌The Dow is sinking.

You cannot pound the war drum and promise discount prices at the same time.

The premise of the first season was a fine dining chef pulled back into the chaotic world of the family sandwich shop, and the premise of every subsequent season has been "The Bear is a very good and important tv show"

Me looking around at the world and social media and life and ..

*waves hand tiredly*

Always have been more of a lurker anyway.

Unrelated, I see the dynamic feed set up must have died -- not sure what the current tools are but is that something worth trying to kick back up ..?

Love ya' Ivy.

It's a screen cap someone took of the Liver King doing a tiktok. He kinda looks like Connor O'malley, if Connor O'Malley had elaborate appliances and make up on. Bottom line is; dude looks like shit. He's a fucking dissaster, dog. One of his pupils is dilated, just the one

What if Liver King was actually an incredibly elaborate Connor O'Malley performance?

I replied in another thread in these replies but without details it feels like the same thing this feed is doing -- it scrapes the last week of post looking for the "canoe emojis" (basically) and puts them into the "canoe feed".

Circling the square of making the canoe "easily reachable, but also not directly open to randos" is what it is it seems -- pretty much "anything" can be regexed to pull it into the feed so if there are suggestions about what people want feel free to suggest.

The recent influx was due to (more) (dumb) changes on the other site RE: how they're handling blocks and their stance on A.I. (Think the block thing is what pissed people off most.) Not sure about the reply all thing except it seems like Kenny's take is accurate.

Any ideas yet on where ..? I'm very far away from that area now but grew up/lived all through NJ/MD/PA so have tons of memories.

Top headline: "In Interviews, Kamala Harris Continues to Bob and Weave. Her media swing showed how she often responds to uncomfortable questions by acknowledging them, yet not fully answering them."

Second headline: "In remarks about migrants, Donald Trump invoked his long-held fascination with genes and genetics."

Second headline: "In remarks about migrants, Donald Trump invoked his long-held fascination with genes and genetics."

This headline stack is one for the time capsule. First, analyzing Harris's message discipline, which is common to normie politicians, as if it's uniquely revealing and shifty. Second, framing Trump's openly racist, completely dishonest stump rhetoric as if it's quirky and full of subtle meaning.

Two cats are cuddled together on a soft, blue fuzzy blanket atop a leather car seat. The dimly lit interior suggests early morning or late afternoon. The top cat is a brown tabby with stripes and white markings, nestled against a predominantly white cat with brown patches. Both have their eyes closed, indicating deep sleep. The blue blanket contrasts with the dark car interior, enhancing the cozy atmosphere and highlighting their bond and comfort in each other's presence.
