I’m a massive superhero movie fan and I’ve enjoyed most about everything that Marvel have put out over the years, but to have footage that is “critical” to your new movie added to an older movie suggests two things. 1) You’re only in it for the money 2) There’s something wrong with your new movie.

I love that there’s still stuff like this that can surprise. The world is a groovy Petri dish, pushing out funky little dudes like this.

You succeed in your career and meet your role model. "I really enjoyed chatting with you" you say.

"Huh?" they're confused. "You were probably talking to Claude."

Read my first @tkingfisher.com book this week, after much prompting by @clairedrinkstea.bsky.social. I thought it was brilliant. Some good, genuinely creepy, folk horror. Looking forward to reading the next one.

Probably a capybara, they’re kinda chill and, if all else fails, I can just pick it up and carry it out. At a push I’d try for an enthusiastic labrador.

A rocket to Mars covered in Miller Lite, Pepsi, Sprint, and Reebok logos

Species II is one of the dumbest SF movies ever made, but the corporate logo Mars rocket was genuinely funny.

One of the most incredible pieces of British fantasy art ever created, Les Edwards cover for the Fighting Fantasy gamebook Daggers of Darkness, featuring a muscled bald man, wearing like a leather harness and demon's head metal codpiece (basically he looks like he's late for a Judas Priest concert) riding across a lake or sea or something improbable on the back of two sabre tooth tigers. Oh yes he has a large eagle and spiked mace/flail too.

Over which has been laid the text "Diane, 11:30 a.m., February 24th.
Entering the town of Twin Peaks."

I like how all of the female custodes drama in 40k spaces right now just boils down to "wah wah the toy soldier game franchise with decades of lore that repeatedly is retconned and changed was slightly changed again to put girls in it! This is the most important thing in my life right now!"

Seriously though she looks bloody amazing.
