Today's photograph is an undated A.F. Mackenzie shot of Birnam.
Popped along to the workshop by Bob Carchrie on LiDAR and aerial photography this evening. All very interesting and wonderful to meet @historicdunkeld.bsky.social A very convivial group and although not an archaeologist, I hope I can contribute in some small way in the future.

Is it as rewarding as it used to be?
Back in the day, would have the list of 277, no guidebook, set off after work, sleep in back of a Mk2 Escort and make my way purely using a 1:50000 map - a real sense of achievement.

Climate mitigation and adaptation measures are not costs. They are investments.
The true costs occur when mitigation fails and adaptation is too slow so we suffer from continually worsening extreme weather events like heatwaves and floods.
Invest now to reduce costs in future.

Have you considered mounting the QR codes in situ? (although I guess you’d have to forego the £2).
I was involved with such a scheme at Saltaire, delivered by the University of Bradford Visualising Heritage group and Bradford Council.

A few days reacquainting myself with Perth and it’s surrounding countryside including a couple of great concerts: Nicola Benedetti and SCO followed the next day by Capercaillie 🎻🎶 at the Concert Hall.
I am moving to the area soon and was excited to find evidence of beavers close to my new home 🦫😃

📽️ How much have the US and others given in aid to Ukraine? Who's been the most generous? How does it all compare with previous conflicts?
And what's with Donald Trump's money-for-minerals deal?

Sigh…..😞

I mean, it certainly would be headline worthy if police had turned up and accused her of committing a crime by writing innocent FB posts.
But that's not what happened…

Trump’s first 3 weeks have been a relentless flood of actions. It's incredibly hard to keep up.
