The economy will need to go past a recession into a full blown depression. It’s an actual cult - Dear Leader can’t fail, he can only be failed- at least until failure is entirely unmistakable. Just a recession won’t be enough.
Someone threw three little kittens in a cardboard box out on the street. Despite my own difficult situation these days, I couldn’t leave them there. I rescued them. One of them is sick and will need medicine.
