A couple of weeks ago, some of us were joking about how big a red flag it is when you see someone on social media whose bio says anything like "Critical thinker."
@orzelc.bsky.social was all over this, waaaaaay back in 2021:
chadorzel.substack.com/p/critical-t...
Here is a sort of postscript to the above. (At least, if you're like me, and already read the above.)

Got a kid about to go to college? This might help.
Plain text is always hard for me.
This was a good one, esp on the heels of the recent Ars article about the looming vulnerabilities. You both did a nice job to make clear the distinctions between the types of encryption.
2/2 of "Acid, Amnesty, and Abortion" would be.

Fair points. But I don't think Trump has anywhere near the numbers that Nixon had, in terms of people that can be persuaded purely by a message of hate. And I think there are far fewer people persuadable by whatever the 2028 equivalent
1/2
Let me just get this out.
I cannot believe what he called Kamala Harris. I did not think I could feel anymore contempt for him, but he has surprised me again.
[ETA] Sorry. That was Buckley.
You won't be surprised, once you see the byline, but this is really good.
LOL! That was my first answer to that question, too.
Excellent answer.
Disturbing how much I am inclined to believe that last point.
We could settle that bet right now, Mr. Secretary. If you'll just step over this way ... I happen to have brought my portable guillotine ...
I do like a Fed chair with a strong sense of independence.
And they way you get to be one of his cronies is to buy some of his crypto. Everybody wins!
Wow. I just a look at the most recent posts, and yeah. A disturbo, no question.
Suspected that from the reaction to the names you listed, though, although could have been just a plain centrist, as opposed to a bigot, too.
You are of course correct. I can't help but try to make the occasional rhetorical point, though -- it's just my nature.
OTOH, if enough of us say it, maybe it gains a little force.
I certainly can see how such things seem to you now. All I was saying is that I bet that if things had been different in your K-12 years, you'd probably now deal with numbers as well as you deal with words.
Good call in the ALT text for the first pic.
And just wait until he gets his sock puppet in as chair of the Fed.
(h/t @warren.senate.gov for the "sock puppet")
I might consider it, if you knew how to converse politely.
The problem with you purist lefties is that you're incapable of civil discussion with someone who doesn't exactly share your views.
Change your tone, or I won't bother engaging further.

Somebody change Greggy's diapers, please.

No. You are wrong. You are blinkered. You refuse to accept that Trump is enabling the very thing you were so upset about. You also refuse to consider how many other needless deaths he's responsible for, due to DOGE, RFKjr, cuts to the safety net, etc.
Okay. No way to tell, of course, but I'm more aligned with her guess about how much stench attaches to either of them, but especially Vance.
And when I add in just how thoroughly unlikable he is? Let's just say I would not bet on him winning the GOP nomination, let alone the general.
:D :D :D

Rarely is the question asked, just how dumb is Beta Pete?

You have not understood my argument. I don't say that someone is too pure for being against genocide. Please.
I am saying there were people too pure to support Biden/Harris b/c of this, who refused to consider how Trump would be no different on this one issue, and worse on all the rest.
