CRE Members spoke about #future grants, a new science-based CRE led by A/Prof Robyn Marsh & an extension of the SUNFISH #study via a new grant application to follow children to 12yo. Prof Maree Toombs gave an inspiring talk on First Nations perspective on #lung health. What a great afternoon!

Prof Julie Marchant spoke about the new CARE study on treating #exacerbations in children with #bronchiectasis. Dr Miriam Cameron spoke about aspiration & #respiratory muscle health. Jack Roberts discussed the use of PC-QOL. Dr Jeremy Kok presented results of the HOPE RCT 🫁🩺 #lunghealth

On Friday, Profs Chang & Yerkovich gave us an overview of CRE achievements with grants, fellowships & almost 200 scientific papers published.

Dr Hannah O’Farrell spoke about progress to understand gene expression in Bronchiectasis. A/Prof Vikas Goyal gave preliminary results of the REPEAT study.

Our CRE meeting kicked off on Thursday!

We were thrilled to have Profs James Chalmers & Amelia Shoemark, world experts in Adult #Bronchiectasis share their groundbreaking #research in the first novel bronchiectasis-specific therapy, Brensocatib.

James’ & Amelia’s talk certainly inspired us all.

The World Bronchiectasis Conference happened last week in Brisbane! CRE members heard from world experts, presented their research and shared ideas with clinicians from around the world about the latest trends in bronchiectasis 🫁🩺
