Yesterday my 11 year old niece asked me, “Can people change?”

I told her, “If they want to change, yes.”

Even if I did like Discord and paid a subscription, the ads would still be there. The subscription isn’t for an ad free experience.

So no, I don’t give my money to Discord.

Discord has pop up ads now. I opened the PC client today after it updated, and a banner ad popped up for some game.

The only way to make it go away was to click it and be redirected to the ad inside Discord.

I’m now looking for an alternative. Waiting for roomy.chat.
