I'd like to live in a world where scratch disks are never full

Yesterday I drove my neighbours mad with the smell of roasted tomato soup, today it's a delicious chicken casserole with rosemary, wine, garlic... tonnes of veg. Working on getting ALL the vitamins.

I competed for my uni in show jumping and dressage and used to spend hours helping out down the riding school as a kid to learn all I could. I was horse mad as a teen!

Finally made it to open water swimming after a virus and an arthritis flare. Really enjoyed it. Dragonflies hovering at the edges near the reeds, swans gliding around us. Just 250m for now. Will go again. Muscles starting to scream at me though ๐Ÿ˜’

Typing up some new material for the book and realise I keep changing the names of my antagonist's drinking buddies. They are side characters really but how many can he have?! ๐Ÿ˜‚

I *think* I've sorted a lot of the problems, now to type up all the new words and take in corrections. The rest of my editing will be on screen. As someone who works in publishing I've handled many manuscripts. I'd like to take a moment though as THIS is one I wrote. #amwriting

Writing, writing, writing, writing... am enjoying not being at the day job. Bit of a slow start this morning as I struggled how to start the scene but moved along nicely and have a chapter written. #amwriting #WritingCommunity

Dear UK government,

Let's be clear: our mental health is getting worse, and cutting benefits wonโ€™t help.

You claim mental health is being โ€œoverdiagnosedโ€, but whereโ€™s the evidence?

The reality is that our environment affects our wellbeing - pandemics, the cost of living crisis, political unrest and ongoing concerns around climate change are all taking their toll.

But when people seek help, they face months, or even years, of waiting.

Rhetoric like this is dangerous. It reinforces stigma and stops people getting support.

If youโ€™re serious about change, listen to those affected. We can turn this crisis around - but only if the government works with us, not against us.

We look forward to hearing from you,

Mind

Where's the evidence that mental health is being "overdiagnosed"?

Egg rack had egg in it which had clearly slightly cracked as it and the one below were stuck. What I didn't bargain for when cleaning it was to get splashed in the face with rotten egg juice. ๐Ÿคข top in the washing machine, face cleansed and hair wash ... gross, gross, gross๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคข

En route to church when a really scary car alarm sounds with 'engine malfunction' flashing. Stopped, tried to restart and it wouldn't. Looked up AA details and then tried again - all fine, brought it home - all fine, idled for 10 mins at home - all fine. What was that about?!!
