Comic. I’m at my desk, leaning over to the doorway, saying “Hey! Foghorn! Foghorn Leghorn! Get in here!”
Foghorn Leghorn is walking past the doorway, “Boy, I tell ya, I tell ya, not so loud, boy. What, I say, I say, what d’ya want?”
Next panel, I’m gesturing to my computer. “How do I find that really good manga you recommended? It’s an anime now? I keep getting Halloween costumes.” Foghorn leans over my chair, “well, boy, I say, I say, you ain’t typin the entire title.”
Last panel, I turn around- “you said ‘witch hat.’ Foghorn gets in my face- “open your ears, boy!! ‘Witch Hat Atelier, I tell ya! I tell ya ‘Atelier,’ I tell ya’”

The last update from him showed over 200,000 deepfakes were taken down and $9mil (est.) saved in legal expenses for other creators.

To clarify: I'm not trying to sway or condescend on you at all!
It's totally valid if you can't forgive it.
I just thought I'd share that the story doesn't end there.

Well, like you said, it's a good point!
As for that second part, I think it's worth mentioning the good he's done since that incident: Spending over $100,000 and working with lawyers and experts to provide legal aid to victims and get major deepfake sharing websites/subreddits taken down.

A lineup of NPC assets I created for the Hunt! First on the left is a normal human male student, named Ned, looking for his twin brother. Unfortunately for him, the school he's investigating is partially filled with "Content Corpses" (the three figures on the right). They come in three variants: Male, Female, and Cop (the three genders). In-universe, there are many more variants, but I'm only one man and can only make so much art lol

[For all art made during for campaign, I'm sticking to a standard style guide inspired by the art present in the CAIN rulebook by Tom Bloom: art is to be made in greyscale, only using color for supernatural subjects.]
Designing the students was fairly simple: just had to give them a simple polo with dark pants/skirt reminiscent of my own experience going to high school. The police officer design is based on a stock image I ended up using in session 1 because I didn't have enough time to draw a proper cop character (the "Content Corpse" version showed up in session 3, so I had plenty of time to draw something by then lol). As for the Content Corpses, I removed their faces to convey the idea that they have been deprived of any original personality. I also used the same pose for all of them just to make drawing them easier, but this ended up conveying the "hive mind" concept really well, so huzzah for shortcuts! Sticking with my style guide, I also let some color seep in here from their phones, which is the source of their condition.

These content corpses were created by the IDOL, an influencer-based SIN born from a high-schooler's trauma (more on them in another image). These content corpses, despite the name, are actually living people who are under the influence of a greater supernatural being that the player exorcists were sent to hunt. Upon being compelled to look at their phones, their very faces are pulled into the screens, causing them to become part of the IDOL's hivemind.

Terrence, the players' impromptu handler, backup, and friend :)
The left image is his standard standing pose, while the right image is a depiction of him taking an attack meant for the players.

[For all art made during for campaign, I'm sticking to a standard style guide inspired by the art present in the CAIN rulebook by Tom Bloom: art is to be made in greyscale, only using color for supernatural subjects.]
I designed Terrence to be slightly off-putting: with unnaturally raised shoulders that seem to have an odd shape, a somewhat sunken head that dips into his jacket, and what appears to be a green scar over his left eye. He's also just over 7 feet tall.

Primarily, he stands back and lets the players do their thing, evaluating their performance from a distance. But once they find themselves in a dire situation, he wills himself to act. However, he avoids using his own supernatural powers and simply stands between the enemy and the players, taking the full force of anything intended for them.

And here's this hunt's big bad: The IDOL and its host.
The host is a completely unassuming, scrawny high-schooler with a bowl haircut and glasses that obscure his eyes, anime style. He has two images here: one standing upright, with clenched fists looking slightly to the right, and another, more unhinged, leaning back as light emanates from his glasses and he screams skyward.
The IDOL, itself, however is an amalgamation of a lanky torso and arms, with the head replaced with a webcam, as lamp and microphone arms jut out from behind. Two large monitors with the words "LIKE" and "SUBSCRIBE" extend from the rib cage of the creature. There are many red wires protruding from the body to all of the electronics.

[For all art made during for campaign, I'm sticking to a standard style guide inspired by the art present in the CAIN rulebook by Tom Bloom: art is to be made in greyscale, only using color for supernatural subjects.]
Designing the student came rather easily: make a dorky-looking loner kid (err, I'm so sorry if the person reading this looks like this; I'm sure you're very cool).
The SIN, on the other hand, was a bit more of a process. It came in pieces as I thought of what a content creator-based entity would look like. Eventually, I got a few ideas: Just have a torso and above (since content creators with webcams only realistically show their upper bodies, why not literally remove that lower half), a webcam instead of a face (implying that, for the sake of content, his individuality be removed), and a bunch of gear protruding that a creator might need (and tie it all together with red wires, implied to be blood, fueling this gear).

So, super quick look at what a SIN is: when someone with a large amount of "grace" experiences a traumatic event, that emotion twists into something they can't handle and a SIN is born. This guy suffered from extreme loneliness upon approaching high school graduation and something snapped in him, resulting in the birth of a sin.

Honestly, this fella's design came about as a result of playing around with brushes in Clip Studio Paint. And I REALLY like how it came out! Looks properly otherworldly, especially alongside the other characters.

"Drifters" are (typically unrelated) entities that find their way to our world when SINs appear and distort reality. This lil' goober is just one that stumbled into the players' first hunt. Drifters can come in innumerable forms and you never know what to expect from them (actually, probably something negative).

My TTRPG group and I recently finished our first hunt in CAIN, a really cool game about exorcists and killing trauma monsters :) (made by @orbitaldropkick.bsky.social )

Now that this first arc is completed, I can share some NPC art I made to run the game!

I think these awards felt especially boring because categories like Best RPG and Best Indie each honor overall quality among a subset rather than a specific craft. If a game is the best of the year, and it’s an RPG, obviously it is also the best RPG. Needs an overhaul to avoid pointless repetition

I've had weird bugs with the OnlyPosts feed in the past, where I'd notice some original posts just wouldn't show up at all.

Using this instead, the Following tab is specifically for seeing what people you follow are posting; I now use other feeds for discovering new artists!
