New publication- here we show equal prevalence of urinary and gynecologic symptoms regardless of anatomic region affected in the digestive tract. We suggest when 4+ symptoms are present (~25% of pts), it is worth additional exploration w/ GYN/URO ๐ฉธ

Are you guys looking at serum levels of GD15? I see a lot of gastroparesis patients and this seems relevant for them too, but frankly have not been familiar with this line of inquiry
Super interesting, thanks for sharing!!
Proud to share our new publication on food fear in IBD. We outline the neuroscience behind how fear of food develops in patients with GI symptoms and set the stage for a compassionate approach to reintroduction.

Excited to share Iโll be presenting our research on glycemic variability and symptom severity in #IBD and the relationship between nighttime eating and myoelectric activity of the gut at #DDW2025 #diet #gastropsych @romegastropsych.bsky.social
Thanks!!
This sample was highly motivated (in agreeing to a dietary trial). I anticipate if replicated in different sample, you would likely still find minimal between group differences (ARFID vs not), but there might be more global deficiencies in consumption
Tonight I had the chance to present our research on diet in #IBD. We found those who screened positive for ARFID still met/exceeded RDAs of all macro+micronutrients (except vit D). We propose food related QoL may be the more appropriate treatment target @romegastropsych.bsky.social
Transitioning from X to Bluesky! Iโm a GI psychologist at the Cleveland Clinic and I specialize in treating motility based GI conditions. I tend to post about eating behavior, especially the neurophysiology of food avoidance, and the overlap between gynecologic conditions and digestive disease.
