Is there a way to set it to be default?

Yeah. Shit like this is why deleted the discover feed. Too much toxicity.

I don't know how to explain this properly but the rate of mentally ill repliers here is insane. Higher than Twitter somehow. It makes up a significant % of my notifications

Only worse reply section I've experienced is YouTube (S tier shitshow)

create-react-app is officially deprecated - here is my opinionated guide on what to use instead.

I talk about how the type of app you are building will determine the best tool for the job.

Also, I show how to migrate from CRA to @vite.dev

i don’t know who needs to hear this, but did you know that it’s possible to love space and also care about the issues on earth?! i know! what a mind-blowing concept.

There are so many hot talks about AI here. This is hard sometimes. It's less crazy than Mastodon, tho.

I'm pro-AI; I use AI every day to assist me. Used right, AI is a game changer for productivity. It's here to stay. It's okay to be a naysayer, but be careful not to go too far in this direction.

Same. Honestly. Just don’t interact with stuff you don’t like.

you get to choose between a toxic wasteland of political strife or a platform that loses their shit if you mention ANYTHING Elon musk or right wing.

Yeah. It’s because a lot of the base despise Musk and anything associated with him. Besides that, I feel like there’s a lot of people who think space exploration is “wasteful”

ngl yeah honestly ignoring the missing features and the fact that many of the accounts I follow on twt aren’t on here yet, the wider userbase is rather politically charged which im not a big fan of

That’s the biggest turn off for me, personally.

Hopefully I can tune my algorithm enough to filter out the politics. It’s exhausting hearing about it day in and day out. I just want normal shit on my feed. Seems like it takes a lot to change the algorithm though.

I can get behind that. I’m surprised he isn’t here. He’d fit in very well with his whole “Elon bad, SpaceX bad” vibe.

Hopefully I can tune my algorithm to give me more spitter.

Hopefully the anti-SpaceX folks don’t brigade it. 😒

Yeah anytime I search up SpaceX on here it’s mostly just people shitting on them because of Elon, really disappointing but whatever.

Mastodon feels just plain mean, in my opinion.

Plus they routinely ban people who push back on some of the more unhinged takes, which leads to echo chambers.

There's a special place in hell for websites that disable copy paste for password field inputs let alone any field on the web.

Both apps have become echo chambers, unfortunately.

All I can say is good luck trying to have a decent conversation about SpaceX on here.
