Meet my client, Sally Baker Simon!
She and I are working on her positioning and business growth.
Sally is absolutely delightful. She's an amazingly warm-hearted person to consult if you are thinking about publishing or promoting a children's book.

We laughed at the audible studio laughs.
Bouquets at the grocery store.
Thank you, Marcus!
I shared this blog post recently, and #FreelanceFriends chatter @sandyhubbard.bsky.social mentioned it might make a good chat topic. The title is "Mindset Shift: From Fear and Lack to Confidence and Abundance", so that's what we're talking about this week!

My practical strategies for growth help high-integrity business owners build companies that customers are drawn to.
I can't resist taking photos at the flower stand outside the grocery store.

We're going through that, too. The jackhammer is vibrating the entire house.
One of the reasons I love writing is that I'm paid to learn about new things that interest me, and communicate it effectively for clients to an audience that's either passionate about it, or will be by the time they're done reading!

I help entrepreneurs, subject-matter experts, and freelance businesses centralize and amplify their marketing, position powerfully, and create an achievable plan to reach and influence customers.
I have room for two new clients who want to meet weekly for 12 weeks.
Private custom collections allow you to privately share curated work for a prospect or share ghostwritten articles. Only available by private link to the person you're sharing it with.
If you have URL, you can add it. I haven't tried uploading PDFs (my columns from my print magazines and newsletters). Once stuff is uploaded, it's there forever, even if the URL goes away. Also, I have a decade of monthly columns, blogs and features I wrote for a client. Will go in a "Collection."
I entered two URLs where my stuff was already organized under my byline. By the next day, all the articles were loaded with summaries and images. Then you get emails from Eric at Authory with ideas on what you can add or try next. Impressive for 5 minutes of work. I want to test the tracking.
@angelatague.bsky.social I uploaded 3 categories of my work just by listing the URL. Authory did a good job of finding my bylines. Now, I'll go and clean up a bit.

Thank you, Marcus!
Oooh, in the email sig is also a great idea. On my invoices, I include my calendar link and highlights of my upcoming gigs, along with a micro-pitch on how they can add more of my services.
Here's a link for 30 days free of the pro version before you have to decide:

Thanks, e'rbody, for a great chat -- and super thanks to Angela for making it all happen!

I'll have to check that out.
Oh, that's brilliant!
I sure enjoy being here with you all each week. #FreelanceFriends
That's awesome. You must put out trustworthy vibes.
For me, cold calling is too nerve-racking, I don't like phones, I don't like worrying about it ahead of time, and I don't like beating myself up afterward.
Open Mic Q: What lead generation tactic have you found to be a waste of time with little to no ROI? #FreelanceFriends
100%
I want to learn more about that, Dava.

A3. Intro calls and asking for referrals and testimonials are part of the equation. My client from last summer wrote me a smokin' hot recommendation on LinkedIn that brought in a new client in December.

A3. LinkedIn and online groups. #FreelanceFriends
I love those inspirational moments. My inspiration was watching a TikTok of a zookeeper or landscaper (can't remember which) resignedly carrying around a lazy panda who wanted to be babied.
