A key obstacle in women's health is the lack of education. It is rarely addressed in curricula beyond reproduction.

What can be done?

Support the research needed to create knowledge & integrate women's health into all health education, not just classes on reproduction.

Why is it #VitallyImportant to invest more in women's health?

A study of over 1,300 diseases found women were diagnosed 2 yrs later than men.

A huge part of this delay comes from the data gaps in understanding health & disease in women.

There are justifications for using 1 sex in animal studies, but the claim that only males are used because "females are more variable because of sex hormones" is not one.

Males have sex hormones too & they fluctuate.

In fact, females are less variable.
