fun find of the day: Yiddish language anti-tsarist postcard printed by Barnet Ruderman for his London bookstore (71 Hanbury Street). Depicts Nicholas II (aka ניקאָלייַקעלע) surrounded by scenes of imprisonment, flogging, and summary execution

Ancient clay tablet translated as saying,, in part: Always buying beer, always eating ready-made food ... Your husband has no clothes to wear. You yourself are wearing rags, your butt sticks out from them.

A foot with a smiling face, its five toes each with their own smiling face. In Yiddish, the advert reads: "Be good to your feet. 'Glad feet' will give you healthy feet. It deals with corns and hardened skin in 24 hours. It rids you of pain. Buy it from your druggist."
