Even so, at least they have the option. Most jobs don't hire felons. Especially, Government jobs. Well, with one exception.

Newsom signed a bill a few years ago that allows Convict Firefighters to become Firefighters once they have completed their sentences.

Low wages suck, but these convict firemen are now eligible to become firefighters once they have served their sentences, no matter their felony status. Newsom did that a few years ago.
