Doug Ford campaigned on the fact that he alone was the only premier not using private planes. Ontario's population ~ 14 mil, California's ~ 39 mil (larger than all of Canada) Ford bought a fancy new SUV and he can use that. He wants to hide where he's going. I've had enough of his expensive taste.

US senators and representatives fly commercial and must pay out of pocket if they choose to fly private. If Canadian Premiers want private jets, they can pay for them themselves. Let’s make it a law starting in Ontario.

Listen to Miracle and Wonder, his audiobook. He tells some stories about that time as well. It's such a great audiobook, I listened to it 5x. That he noodles on his guitar and tells how he wrote his most iconic songs makes it such a good listen.

I had no idea that came out in 1986. I thought it came out much later. That said. If you are a Simon fan, get the audio book Miracle and Wonder. Gladwell interviews Simon over months, and Paul shares how he wrote his most famous songs and noodles on his guitar. Amazing listen.

Nice. My mom is walking outside daily and priding herself on learning and remembering everyone’s name. It’s a real gift when our elders embrace change rather than insisting on staying in their house until death.

My mom moved into a retirement home finally at 93 and gave up her car. Phew. She is all there, but I could see this potentially happening. They are more fragile especially after losing a partner or child...or both.
