Merry Christmas all!

I’m not trying to be grinchy, just frustrated that we never see anything showing that even a small, barely there Christmas Day is worthy of being considered special?

Why does it seem like having a v quiet and “small” Christmas is shit? Or not worth celebrating? Why can’t we see ads of the parents whose kids have flown the nest and it’s just the two of them for the first time in years? Or the elderly parent with their single (adult) child together?

I love the vibe of Christmas, but I’m getting a lil sick of everything shoving “big family/friends get-together” as being the only way to spend Christmas Day. Not all of us have a big family etc to all congregate together. Every. Single. Ad. 🤦‍♀️

I completed a total of one game this year: powerwash simulator 2. However I also bought it this year so idk if it counts 😂😂

In the last few months I discovered Fortnite (dubbed The Midlife Crisis), switched adhd meds (much calmer and more able to focus- and switch focus!), and have started back with my psych degree via open uni (purpose! I have a purpose again!).

All in all, things are going… well!

Ahh, yes thing became a bit too volatile with Max the last few months and it just became too unsafe, so since he doesn’t go to that level with his dad (plus he has more family close by to help), we had to make the decision for him to move up there. All pretty raw and very new, but it’s best for all
