Checking out the Forbidden Planet list for #NCBD tomorrow and there’s literally nothing decent from Marvel atm. They had a great thing going with the Ultimate Universe but for some reason they pulled the rug out from underneath the creators

AI is a great tool for a software engineer when you know what the output is meant to look like. You give it a prompt and it gives you a piece of code. The problem is when engineers either don’t know what the code is meant to look like or don’t bother to check it does what it’s supposed to

I normally save this pic for genuine news headlines, but I did also take the family to Alnwick Gardens today and stupidly thought there’d be some kind of family discount ticket

Poltergeist, when I was 8. I’ve since spoken to a lot of other folk who watched it way too early, was there a batch mistakenly listed as PG or something?

The other option is to petition the 12 people I follow on Twitter to move but they seem entrenched

That’s a really good idea, I should probably just do it myself. I’ve got a funny feeling that the Twitter api is what is causing the problem with everything else

I genuinely did not think it would be this difficult to get an app to cross post to Threads, Mastodon, BlueSky and Twitter. @openvibe.social is the best so far but still falls short on Twitter.

Chris Claremont was on Word Balloon (I think) a while back, talking about what his plans were for the X Men if he hadn’t been taken off it and they sounded incredible. I’d love for him be given his own ClaremontVerse number to do them

So sorry to hear about the passing of Sam Kieth. He gets a lot of compliments on his artwork but for me the storytelling in The Maxx was some of the bravest going on at that time, dealing with subjects and approaches that few would dare tackle.

Who said it: Warren Ellis or New York Times?

I liken it to Blade Runner in that the world is that well realised that we are only seeing the story happening in front of the camera at that time. If the camera took a turn to the left we’d see an entirely different movie

Literally my favourite writer of all time. It was interesting to see how the industry and his colleagues reacted to him, versus the radio silence when the Gaiman news broke at first

Atari Teenage Riot leading the charge for excusing anything Israel ever did, really made it difficult to listen to them again. They were a massive formative band to me when I was younger, and I felt so betrayed. Also they went so big on NFT’s, it was weird
