One of the outstanding bits of Avatar's Magic designs is having cards that are clearly and cleanly flavored mechanically for a character/event in Avatar, but also match up with Magic Mechanics/Design Language in a way that converses with older designs.

I want to look at some cards that best do this

Jinxed Idol in Tempest and Jinxed Ring in Stronghold. Null Brooch in Exodus has the art that was originally meant for the third one.
