Just attended Nate Bargatze show in my home town, Ottawa! Such a genuinely funny guy!!

As someone whose both parents passed away from Alzheimers, our family learned that symptoms usually begin occurring 10-15 yrs before an official diagnosis. So this definitely tracks.

As someone who lives safely in Canada, I feel such an immense guilt. Knowing that I live in a home, with food and all the amenities that I require. My heart breaks for every person in Ukraine. For every child.

Often my mind hits a wall, reading about so much tragedy. The pain, death (and yes, triumph) that you post about.
Yet, I don’t wake up to sirens or explosions or screams. So I vow anew to support Ukraine in any way that I can. My deepest condolences for the losses that you have suffered.

I was in grade 9 (Glebe in Ottawa) when the entire student body was allowed to watch game 7 of the Canada-USSR Summit in 1972. This was HUGE!
And the tension was palpable..
I cannot imagine it as a 4 yr old.

As an adult, I walked the difficult journey of Alzheimers with both of my parents, both now passed away.
No one can convince me that Trump does not have cognitive impairment issues. I see so many similarities to what I experienced with my parents.
No filter. Loss of inhibition. Poor judgement. ETC
