I suspect that the issue would be exercise that’s out of the ordinary for you, not your day to day. Hope it’s a beautiful cycling day for you!

What do I want to do over a June weekend in Cincinnati? The zoo is already on the list, everyone involved is over 21, budget-friendly is a big plus. Would love your recs, if you have any.

Ohhhh this would be cool! City Museum in STL is what you’re talking about, yes? It’s so weird and awesome!

Half a chocolate cake in a metal pan with fudgy frosting and sprinkles; half a vanilla cake in a glass pan with vanilla buttercream frosting and also sprinkles.

Half a chocolate cake in a metal pan with fudgy frosting and sprinkles; half a vanilla cake in a glass pan with vanilla buttercream frosting and also sprinkles.

I made two birthday cakes from scratch on Saturday night, frosted them on Sunday morning (delegated the chocolate ganache to 16yo), and enjoyed a really lovely birthday celebration for my twins, who turned 23.
These recipes are from King Arthur Baking; search for “cake pan cake.”

Is the MSP feed still busted from DDoS Day, or is it a me problem?

Well, you’re welcome. I know you can handle your own business, but I’ve learned from you and I’m grateful.

I’m just going to suggest that you read a teeeny bit of OP’s timeline before you go further into the replies here. There are some things you could learn.
Questions I have for you: what does “good family” mean? What constitutes “better?” What’s a “good parent” and why does adoption cost $$$$?

I don’t even know if I like hockey (I barely know the rules) but the vibes here are excellent. #PWHL #MNFrost

I did this year, for the first time! February is an ishy time of year to have a birthday in Minnesota, but it’s way more palatable at home. :)

Yes, hearing from her (if she were to choose to speak on it) would be important before drawing conclusions. But I’d be exhausted too.

The anthurium is doing so well right now, and I have no idea why. It is rootbound and neglected and obviously very happy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The sun is TOO STRONG in our dining room, but Eldest has a planter that is a disco ball, and I am delighted by this scattered sunlight every day.

Can I just tell you? Mme 16 completed voter pre-registration for herself yesterday. First eligibility to vote will likely be the 2028 primaries, barring a special election. She said “I’m becoming the voting public!” 🩷

I’m not in on Moriarty’s reasons for not running again (though I sure don’t blame her for the decision). I am sad she won’t be in this role anymore. I like her work.

SO LOUD. some years ago, my kid was at a baseball practice during the evening episode of Bonus Awoo and the siren was *in the ballpark*. The 9-year-olds and their dads were not in good shape. (I am not complaining; I just like my local siren and its half-mile distance from my home.)

Emergency weather thing went off at 12:45. These two teenage boys in the library just about lost their MINDS (and then one of them went outside to find out exactly how loud it is [VERY]).

Eldest has a little hanging planter that is a disco ball. The sun is TOO STRONG in our dining room, but this situation J’s delightful every morning. :)

What if I was a CCD kid *and* went to Catholic high school *and* later got a job running CCD for the parish? Surely there’s something I can do!

My dad was an entertainer in Nashville in the 1960s-80s. He occasionally sang this song onstage (sometimes onstage on a riverboat), but he sang it kind of a lot at home because it was my Very Favorite Song when I was about five. 🥰

All this Spring that’s happening is making me think it’s *not* time to start dinner. I have lots more goofing off to do today. Hmph.
