A sketch!

I started this painting in a different world, where the crises were personal. Now we live in a world of uncertainty. We need heroes to rise up and bring back order, sanity, and love.

Everybody can love their neighbor, but reach deep within your heart and find the courage to love the stranger.

When we met, he said “I’d love to go back to farming, but the world is full of monsters, and people are afraid.”

I always loved this drawing by Frazetta, this painting of mine is based on. Eventually I just wanted to channel some of his energy into my life so I painted my version on a board.

Sometimes the world feels unnecessarily heavy. When we carry that weight around, what kind of muscles are we building?

We now know why the so called "elite" was so interested in pouring billions in that slop machine. They needed to discredit all information so that they can get away with the horrendous things they have done.

I think oil is a pretty good trainer. Watercolor kinda reacts like glazes.

Of course! If you come around DC let me know and we will paint together!

It is watercolor. Color is about trying out and getting a sense of it. Even the same pigment from different brands react differently. Try to think of color while you are mixing as a bit redder, a bit bluer, a bit desaturated etc.

for the latter I use Stillman & Birn Zeta series.

When a painting doesn't work, and I hate it, I usually tell myself I am going to give it up after working on it two more hours. If I still hate it, I give myself permission to trash it.

Keep painting my friend! <3

Thank you for your kind words my friend. If you like washes and using a lot of water a good heavyweight cotton watercolor paper is the way to go, if you like to use less water and want to have paint heavy application, I find the mixed media paper is good. For the former I like using Arches, and

Probably you just need to find the right paper for your needs!

Thank you Darren! <3 Watercolor demands so much patience and layers upon layers.

I figured finding the right paper for your way of painting is the key. Working on mixed media paper suits me better because it dries faster, reacts and feels closer to acrylic. Whereas watercolor paper gets messy quick

I saw the reference for this online and the shirt and the book piqued my interest right away. As I was working on it, the stains on his coat became an extra joy to paint. Watercolor.
