Of course it is. I always thought it weird that England doesn't have its own parliament. They really should get on that.

I can't see the likes of Spain or Italy agreeing to those conditions.
And, oh Lord, if Sinn Fรฉin are in charge of the Irish Government when/if it were to happen...

Itโ€™s Sorted (2024) Itโ€™s Sorted by Cheekface made me an instant fan, pairing endless hooks with sharp, subversive humor.

I'm listening to every album that comes out in 2024 (not really).

Itโ€™s Sorted by @cheekface.bsky.social hooked me right away โ€” super catchy, a little weird, and fun on the surface, but thereโ€™s something sharper going on underneath.

I wrote about it here:

Were concessions given to BLM protests? Or the Occupy movement? I could be wrong, but I don't feel there was? Time moved on and to some it was just a fad so they faded away?
Trump and his cronies are experts at knowing that people get bored and move on.
Epstein files, for example.

I think there'll be some protest sure, but I think they're arrogant enough to think they'll quash it easy.
Time will tell.
Man, I look forward to living in "less" interesting times...

On the other hand...

There might not even BE midterms!

(Which is what I think is going to happen)

What is the "Mamdani Act"? GOP bill would ban socialists, Marxists from US Chip Roy's "Mamdani Act" would make socialists, Marxists and Islamists deportable and inadmissible to the United States.

There isn't a hell hot enough for these vile motherfuckers www.newsweek.com/what-is-the-...

Well, not quite either. My understanding is that they would "have" to adopt the Euro under Article 49 as a "new" member, however...
They will more than likely adopt the same method as Sweden, which is to block their ears with their fingers and say, "Lala AI can't hear you".

I think the GP should be careful what they wish for.
If there were a general election within the next 6 months to a year, it could well be won by a Reform/Tories coalition.

But if Labour can hang on, and GP keep making up ground, it could be a GP/Labour coalition in a year or two.

If you want good news, the UK won't have a choice but to join the Euro if it wants to reenter...
The days of picking and choosing your benefits are well and truly behind you now.

The way Martin and Harris are being so vocal about how the TD should come forward, if I was a betting man, I'd put money on it not being a FFG TD

But I don't think that we will see any pro-LGBT+ policy or even Magyar going beyond implementing the CJEU judgment. Magyar's base is part former Fidesz voters, who not so much got over their homophobia as they got fed up with Viktor lining up his pockets with their money.

It's incredible that Starmer still has a job, truth be told.
I wonder where this dirt is coming from though? The biggest beneficiary's from a General Election now, would be Reform.
If Labour tough this out, they could be junior partners in GP/Lab coalition.

Why? You do it.

A terse email with no signature,

"Good Morning, I can honestly tell you we would not have sent it out like that, the sales staff know better. That must have happened in transit."

This is also how you *do not* respond to a customer complaint, btw.

There was no paper/cardboard/bubble wrap whatever to stop the packaging bashing about in the box either.

I'll be shopping elsewhere in future.

Pen mandrel in a loose box, which has escaped the plastic packing it came in, including all the pieces smaller than a cm.

Not naming names here, but between pretty expensive postage (โ‚ฌ12 for a national delivery!) and the way this pen mandrel was packaged, some companies make it even more difficult to resist buying from Amazon.

The 2024 US election was completely electronically rigged by the likes of Muskrat etc.
I still can't understand how 1/2 empty rallies (vs rallies with queues around the block) turned into winning EVERY swing state.
Never made sense.

I kinda like the idea of people writing manifesto's. Put it out who you are, out there.

Mine is pinned to my feed here. Have a look.

(I did take out the bit about bar-codes on everyone's wrist in lieu of national ID, but sure, ya can't win them all*)

*This is a joke.
