Criticizing Israel? forget about it. Why would any social media company take on the risk of getting sued by AIPAC?
Sharing info on abortion pills? No way. The anti-abortion movement is litigious af
MeToo accusations? Posts about the Epstein Files? Way to risky for companies to be liable for.
How about Section 230? Without it, social media platforms would either give up on moderation entirely (meaning your feed is packed with spam and nonsense and AI generated slop and god knows what else) or they'd aggressively remove any content they worry might get them sued.
