When I say stray I truly mean I cannot discern whence it came. Nowhere that can't function without it, apparently

[ok, it's not strictly accurate to say I don't have a left radial artery at all, but it's not anywhere useful for his purposes]

I am consistently impressed with my PCP. At my first visit, two years ago, he took (or tried to take) the radial pulse on both of my wrists. Friends, I do not have a left radial pulse because I do not have a left radial artery. I see him approximately every six months and he's remembered every time.

the brand, which I highly recommend, is Pho'nomenal and it's even better when you follow the directions

to be fair, it's not exactly *bad*, because I did manage to get the one packet and the assorted freeze-dried bits into it, but it was underwhelming

when I made it, I'd thought I was missing one, but I convinced myself I was thinking of a different brand (as if I'd buy a different brand)

I Did Not Consent To My Body A personal essay about trauma, transition, and transgender autonomy.

Today would be a good day to read and share my essay about trans medicine and trans autonomy, and why trans people are complexly traumatized without them.

We deserve for our bodies to belong to us. We deserve lives we can live.

I’d love for cis people to read this.

also many of them are readers and five of us spent a good hour or so reading/crocheting/drawing in the living room while the extraverts hung out in the kitchen

fortunately they're the kind of family where it's entirely understood that sometimes you just need to disappear for half an hour or so to get your bearings

I was starting to get kinda down on myself for doing absolutely nothing today, but remembered I spent *counts on fingers* 11 hours around extended family yesterday, and that's way too many

figured out why this venue smells so appetizing: it's the eau de cigarette that waffle house had before the government told us we couldn't have carcinogens in our most beloved cultural institutions

My current project is a m/m historical romance between two Union veterans, starring a character I had to cut from the first novel because I just didn't have room for him.

1 year ago 0 0 0 0

My first novel is a coming-of-age story about an intersex protagonist in the 19th c. American West, and the burned-out doctor they learn to trust. I have a polished draft but no plans to do anything else with it. It's a little too close to home for public consumption.
