How fortunate we were that Jesse Jackson answered that call. What a great debt we owe to him.

For those viewing this, enjoy. We all write at different levels, but what matters is we are doing it together and are discussing important issues. We also did one in February for Women’s History Month.

Here’s some of our pieces from the zine. We used pen-names so that, if any administrators on campus took issue, we would be protected. Only officers of our club would have to take the heat, and we all agreed we would handle it gladly. These issues matter. Our voices matter.

I am posting this here because I feel that this mag be an effective way for people to not only process their feelings, but make small change and foster community in times where communities are being impacted by piss-poor legislation.

We’ve taken to social media, posting our entire zine on there to share and spread, as well as printing it and leaving it around our campus. We did this in a kind of, “act now & ask for forgiveness later” type of way. I am truly proud of the members of my club. We are all incredibly passionate. (3/?)

We’re in a place where we need to provide support because this administration is trying take support away.

We are taking steps to make a difference in our community, even if it isn’t as wide spread as we would like it to be (yet).

My creative writing club at my college has started a zine to discuss important matters that the current administration is trying to make worse and I couldn’t be more proud to be the president of my club. We have a link to a discord where students who feel alone can go to talk to each other & us.
