My apologies are typically for the way I react and almost never for the reason I react. I recognize I can be harsh at times and my reactions are large. But that doesn't mean the reasons why I react are wrong.

One thing I learned as I got older was that I can offer an apology without having to explain myself, offer excuses, or rationalize. I can just recognize and apologize for my poor behavior, then leave it at that. I don't owe anything more.
