There is currently little incentive for them to change, but maybe there can be small sandboxes to make the internet a better place. The technology to do so already exists, that’s not what is holding it back.
Technology has amplified all voices, but human nature hasn’t changed. We are still hardwired to focus on emotions like fear, hate, and anger. The people running the technology platforms know this and have chosen to further amplify the ‘worst’ voices for profit.
