On the Phillies' next move with Taijuan Walker, from @inquirer.com: www.inquirer.com/phillies/tai...
Reyes, 25, is off to a 27-for-81 start with six homers (two last night) for Lehigh Valley. He’s a right-handed hitter, with some experience in LF and a little bit at 3B. But he’s here now because he hit .371 with a 1.091 OPS vs. lefties last season; 6-for-20 so far this year.
Jhoan Duran to the injured list, Felix Reyes called up, and more from the Phillies.
Taijuan Walker is a short-term problem. Here's one that isn't going away:
The Phillies have faced 6 non-opener lefty starters (Latz, Gore, Griffin, Ray, Imanaga, Pérez). They've batted .145 (17-for-117) with 37 strikeouts against them. And they're about to be 0-6 in those games.
OK, so Zack Wheeler will make one more rehab start Sunday for Reading in Bridgewater, N.J., weather-permitting. That puts him in line to rejoin the Phillies' rotation next weekend in Atlanta, which means Taijuan Walker's spot will come around once more on Wednesday in Chicago.

Painter just walked out to the bullpen. It sounds like he might pitch, but he won't start.
Andrew Painter has been scratched from today's start because of a migraine, the Phillies announced. Zach Pop will start instead.

The best way for the Phillies to generate offense — and to mask their lineup’s warts — is for Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper to deliver. When they do it together, it’s a tough formula to beat. “That’s what we need.” From @inquirer.com: www.inquirer.com/phillies/dia...

(2/2) “He was old-school, man,” Turner said. “Not a lot of numbers. Just pure confidence almost. I always thought I was a good baserunner and took a lot of things in and tried to be smart about it. Just having him in my ear and saying, 'Just trust it and go,' was nice and kind of a change of pace.”
(1/2) Davey Lopes coached Trea Turner for two seasons with Nationals early in Turner’s career. “He’d look at me [at 1st base] and say, 'Why are you still standing here?'” Turner once said. “He wanted me to run. ‘Just go, just go, just go.'” Turner stole 33 bases in 2016 and a career-high 46 in 2017.
