Going to be a busy year - two more albums to go after this for 2026. I have a huge stockpile of finished albums I need to get out from under.

Thank you. This is mind blowing!
OMG thanks so much! Please send a link I can share. Funny you posted this - William Burns and I were just discussing your show.
Thank you so much!
Sharing this extraordinary 5 Star review from one of my favorite resources for obscure music and movies, Musique Machine. The author really gets what I was going for with these albums and I have to say, it feels nice when someone connects like this. www.musiquemachine.com/reviews/revi...
We strongly suggest that you enjoy it in silence, savoring each and every one of the endless nuances that fill it, as if it were a Byzantine mosaic.
An arduous but exciting task.
This impressive album has been released by the British label Cold Spring alongside another twin release that we will discuss later.
It is commendable to perceive the way in which he knows how to make the bass lines dialogue with the treble lines while dressing them up with white noise and field recordings. 400 Lonely Things wants you to find yourself within your own labyrinth, using sound as your only guide.
We do not recommend overlooking such highly recommended experiences as listening to the fifth track, “Machine Manitous Of Loving Grace,” or the cabalistic genetics enclosed in “Twirled Hurtling Nights.”
Most of the tracks are less than five minutes long, which creates a balanced tension that gives the album a powerful dynamism. The cold and gloomy essence of most of the tracks embraces the listener, leading them to solitary corners where, inexplicably, they manage to feel comfortable.
Once again, this musician's compositions are devoid of vocals, but filled with countless sound resources that are deliberately juxtaposed, scaffolding acoustic cathedrals of ineffable beauty. This work invites you to travel without leaving home.
Everything is valid in order to achieve the end in itself, and that goal is to narrate the microcosm enclosed in Why I Went To The Woods.
In addition to a well-stocked arsenal of synthesizers and effects pedals, this wizard of sound does not hesitate to draw on classical instrumentation ranging from strings to wind instruments to percussion.
offering us a handful of melancholic and twisted tracks, invoking a Dionysus overcome by ecstasy.
400 Lonely Things knows how to please a fan of dark ambient, projecting tunes guided by spiraling cadences, which are masterfully and tastefully crafted.
One of the most commendable aspects of this project is its unusual ability to generate totally disconcerting compositional formulas dominated by calm and tyrannized by darkness. The lysergic and the psychedelic come together in Why I Went To The Woods,
Craig Varian once again manages to encapsulate dreamlike subworlds through sound. “Why I Went To The Woods” is an extensive and mesmerizing collection of tracks compiled on a double CD that surprises with its incredible soundscapes brimming with mystery.

Thank you, No Melody. AI English translation in comments.
