Ooohhhh! Were was the roller coaster?
Thoughts to reflect on this Lent:
My husband & I are in our 60s. Same & same.
Unless the statuettes are quite tall, it's dubious their shape allows enough interior volume for anything as large as a liver, etc.
Just the 1 sniff & he reared up on his hind legs, scrunched up his face & turned it away, & made shooing motions with his front paws. I wish to heaven I had video.
But he never ever bothered any kind of human food again.
*was*
Our late Siamese mix Vir used to try to taste my DH's coffee. 1 day DH wax getting a refill when Vir jumped up on the chair. Since there was no mug present, Vir decided to sniff the jalapeño cheddar bagel. >>>
It took several of my cats, my previous husband, & my dad. Fuck it with a 6 foot rusty chainsaw.
I already never shop at any of those stores. And now that's even less likely to change.
May his passing be gentle & your memories a consolation. That last kindness we give them is always the hardest of all.
Buffy was a beauty! I'm so very sorry for your loss. Cancer has taken several of the cats I've had as well.
I'm so sorry. We had to get it from a compounding pharmacy, but it was so worth it.
2 cats sharing top shelf of cat tree. The off-white 1 with faint orange tabby marking is draped across the body of the 1 in many shades of brown. Both look quite comfortable.
Leo's distant relative Vash & his buddy Cocoa approve!2 ca
Was there a typo? Or am I crazy thinking this looks much more like the 1890s?
What stopped that was putting her on Prozac. She was hard to pill, so we had the pharmacy make it up as a gel that we smeared in her ear. She learned to tolerate the kitren, was much calmer & more affectionate, & for the 1st time in her life, became a lap cat. Wish we'd done it much sooner.
Feliway is worth a try.
I had a cat who was usually cranky, but behaved well anyway, that took took violent -- literally-- exception to a new kitten. She attacked him at every chance & truly seemed to be trying to kill him
Is that pic Bert and Ernie's civil wedding portrait?
No, they didn't decide to do it after they took power -- they already were all along.
My family spent a week in Homer many decades ago during a long camping trip through Canada & Alaska. I remember its beauty -- & its seafood -- very fondly.
Many, many, thanks! The book was on clothing through the ages & was out of print even then, & I've never been able to find anything but a few pages copied in other works. TY for adding to my stash.
Could you please share details of the book these illustrations are from? My high school had it & I've been looking for a copy ever since.
Probably because appearance-based attacks have a +15 bonus against women.
2 lines work better, going in opposite directions. I use 3 screw-in cup hooks (1 in the center too) drven into the woodwork around the bid LR window.
Breast pockets are fine & highly useful unless they are encumbered with buttons. Flat ones with open top sides are golden.
And Mary Tamm did a few with Tom very early in his BF career, but died before they were released. Lalla Ward & Louise Jameson have done tons of new stories with Tom.
There's a batch of recent 4th Doctor stories where Tom is glorious, of course, but the actress playing Sarah is downright uncanny. I finally looked at the credits & realized that she was Sadie Miller -- Lis Sladen's daughter!
Tom's still rocking the BF stories & clearly loving it.
