On this- in part it's that having a persona to be a 'professional' publically on this topic on social media is just not my thing. I am legit an in-industry professional. But I am human first.

Definitely I will be making a video essay about the NIKKE rhythm minigame as it's INCREDIBLY RARE that we get a direct comparable between PC and mobile rhythm games (F2P) and the barrier to play that each platform has systemically built into them. Gotta get all the footage while I can!

Maybe I'll get back Into it later after they tweak some core systems. The high amount of dailies required to optimally maximize your currencies is a barrier to want to play since it's about 5m a day + 30m a week (world resources) it's a lot of upkeep.

I really would have liked if:
- They didn't tutorialize unimportant stuff (TOOLTIP: don't get hit by steam on conveyer belts!!! They will push you back!! 😱), and only important stuff.
- Showcased more of the original depresso despair AK lore // world upfront that AK was known for vs competitors.

I don't think I made a post about it, but I stopped playing Enfield at around the start of the Rossi banner.

It's a genuinely cool game in a lot of ways. However it was really hard to get engaged with the lackluster narrative and uninteresting characters. And really poor onboarding was a turn off.

Yeah, esp on PC that is not a you issues. It's a byproduct of design.
It's a reason why mobile games like LLSIF or im@s SS got sooo many people into the genre.

PC is for precision and mastery, mobile is a great entry to play and to 'feel good' with the rhythm. Exactly what rhythm games should be.

I think that the #NIKKE rhythm game is best played on a good tablet. Mapping the visual cues directly with the physical input takes away a lot of the cognitive barrier of play that comes from playing on KBM where they are disconnected.

Too bad my Pixel 8 is potato and misses inputs on dense charts

I need to make a mapping for the #NIKKE Rhythm game with my DJmax controller. Its really hard to mentally map standard keyboard inputs to visual inputs on screen so this should help.
Thumbs for swipes, the top big ones for jumps and then 4 of the grey keys for notes probably? I'll lab it out later.

To memory, this is the longest dialogue box they've used in Nikke so far. I wonder if they changed their backend systems or if in the past they've been super intentional with having three lines max.

I prefer less text on screen at a single time as it really helps us ADHD folk. #GameAcessibility
