100% agree! I'm finally getting through S2 of Andor. Tell me why I broke down during the scene between Cass and the bell hop when he first arrived in Ghorman. I can see others perceiving it as "slow" while I'm over here sobbing.
Unfortunately, when a series breaks containment (gets popular) this inevitably always happens. My hope is that instead of comparing others to push them down, we do it to lift up other books in the genre.

Carl's Doomsday Scenario: Dungeon Crawler Carl book 2 by Matt Dinniman
The writing improves exponentially from book 1 to 2. The characters are more fleshed out as Dinniman takes his story to the next level, however the world building feels a little more stagnant with some minor bright spots. I attribute this to settling into the series groove which is great!

This was a reread having read it the first time last year. This time I did the audiobook. Holy sh*t Jeff Hays is such a talent! My thoughts on book 1 haven't changed. The beginning is the weakest with the story & writing improving until your addiction is complete.
