When teachers complain about not having enough planning time, most are not complaining about having to plan.
They are complaining about not having time because they have too many classes, students, bosses, parents, duties, meetings, and paperwork. This solves the wrong problem.

I used ChatGPT for the first time last week to create a model text for an English lesson - I gave it the topic, the year group and a few parameters (ie 'challenging vocabulary') and it created a text which was exactly what I wanted - in about 10 seconds! I will definitely use it again!
I didn't know but I'm not surprised!
Eve Garnett's The Family from One End Street - I wanted to be a Ruggle child! I think reading this book helped shape the reader I was to become, leading me to a love of fiction set in richly drawn historical settings, and in particular to love Dorothy L Sayers, whose books are also set in the 30s
Window by Jeannie Baker - this one epitomises the incredible detail and fascinating story found in each spread, but they're all amazing!
Primary maths lead... Tables fluency is essential - so much of the UKS2 curriculum relies on it - BUT I don't think the test should be timed - the pressure of answering in 6 secs excludes some children (those with anxiety or slow processing, who are neurodiverse) so a 100% pass rate is not inclusive
Visiting Pantaleimon in the Botanical Gardens
I did! I deliberately stood under the spray blowing over the sea wall just for fun!
1. Lynmouth, North Devon
2. On a short break
3. Yes, at least once a year as we're staying at the OE centre I bring my Y6s to every year!
I love it when smallest decides he fancies cooking breakfast...
Primary maths lead here - we're trying something new this year - every year group is starting with a 2-week unit revising / consolidating last year's calculation objectives before launching into the first place value unit - otherwise it's a long time before calculation comes up again!
